Bio
I am currently finishing my PhD in philosophy at the uOttawa and Sorbonne-Université. I am working about the history of analytic philosophy, covering a range of authors that extends from Frege and Wittgenstein to Davidson, Sellars, and Rorty, as well as McDowell and Brandom. Brandom’s mark is evident throughout my articles and my thesis, where I engage with his work. My method attempts at blending exegetical rigour, conceptual clarity and a critical and creative perspective. I believe that metaphysical and political questions are central to philosophy—and to daily life—and can be illuminated through careful reflection on language, whether natural, formal, or philosophical.
I love good literature, good movies and more or less good music. I sometimes do theatre and argentinian tango. I cherish humour, joy, and optimism. I believe Rorty was right to take conversation to be the space within which human thinking, imagination, action and love flourish, and I hope we will one day live in a world where this can be fully realized.
